Unexpected MyQ message using Blaq

Ever since I figured out how to properly update the firmware on my GDO Blaq, it works flawlessly. The Blaq is connected to a Chamberlain Whisper-drive+ with security+1.0 and a smart panel. The main reason I wanted the Blaq was the ability to lock out my keypads and vehicles openers at night time or when no one is home. I use Smartthings so I can lock/unlock the GDO in the app or through the Konnected Webpage. I noticed that when the Blaq was locked, the led on the smart panel flashes, great reminder. When it is locked, I also get this message pop up on my devices from the MyQ app:
“Disable Remotes is On. Your remotes will no longer open Garage Door Opener until this feature is turned off.” Tried to find where this is sent from in the MyQ app but no harm no foul.
The only way to open the door when it is locked is using the MyQ smart panel or app or Konnected webpage, or unlock the door. All other openers are locked out.
I also setup a routine in Smarthings to lock the door in the evening and unlock in the morning. The routine also sends a notification banner. Also, when the last person leaves the house during open hours, a Smartthings routine with geofencing locks the door, and opens it when someone returns.
This is so much more than I expected.

Just thought I’d share.

When I saw the title of your post I thought this was gonna be a post to complain about some incompatibility with myQ. Glad I was wrong and thrilled to hear that you’re taking advantage of this little-known security feature!

Being able to lock out external access is a great security feature. No more worries or risk of a vehicle being broken into to access an opener to the garage by thieves.

All I need now is a module that links to Blaq, can play a sound if the door is opened or closed, plugs into an outlet making it easy to move from room to room, can set features through its webpage or routines in Smartthings!

I do have a routine that turns on a light after hours for late arrivals, but a gentle jingle could be a bonus to alert for unexpected guests at 3 am.

Just got my Blaq setup also, disabling the remotes is a great feature.

Currently I power off my door openers at night, but I plan on changing that soon.

I had all my remotes disabled with the exception of what was in the garage. Now that they can be locked out on a schedule, they are all functional..
