My smoke alarm keeps going off/on line. What would be the best way to trace fault ?
I have seen this too since we added some more proactive online/offline state monitoring. I don’t think it’s actually going offline, it just appears that way when the authentication tokens refresh about once per day.
I am planning on looking into this. Nothing for you to do and no need to worry right now. I am pretty sure this is just an unintended artifact of the normal security credentials cycling.
I would be very interested in a fix to this as I am getting annoyed with the notifications.
@thedoogs @DJBMall Please try building a new firmware update via the Konnected app. I believe this is fixed in the Konnected Cloud enabled firmware configuration by adjusting the keepalive setting.
You don’t need to change any settings, just going in to the Konnected app > your device > Settings > new version > build and update firmware. This should fix it.
Thanks for the update. I just followed your instructions and I’ll let you know how it goes.
@DJBMall I looked into your device and I do see it rebooting frequently.
Since you are using SmartThings, this is probably caused by the Native API being enabled, but there is no local/native client. When this happens, the device reboots periodically to try to re-connect the local client, but since you don’t have one, it’s constantly rebooting and reporting offline briefly.
To resolve, go in to the firmware Settings in the Konnected app, go to Local Native API and disable it. Then Save & Continue and update the firmware.
