Hurricane Milton is impacting Konnected

Hurricane Milton is rapidly approaching Florida and is impacting our operations this week. Konnected HQ is in Orlando, Florida and we are bracing for impact from what some are calling “the storm of the century”.

Your orders originating from Orlando may be delayed until Friday, October 11 or later, depending on the severity and outcome of the storm. Our USPS, UPS and FedEx pickups may be suspended or postponed by one or more days as all of Florida is scrambling to prepare for this epic storm.

The Konnected team in Florida is taking today and the remainder of the week off to prepare and ride out the storm.

Stay safe everyone!

UPDATE after the storm. We survived unscathed!

The wind was intense and there was massive amounts of rain, but everyone is safe and no significant damage affecting the Konnected team.

Our office seems to be without power since early this morning. I have not been over there yet to check everything out.

Apparently UPS, USPS and FedEx have suspended operations yesterday and today (October 9 & 10) and orders that have been marked as shipped may not have been collected yet by the carrier. I presume that everything will be back to normal tomorrow, October 11.

No damage at the Konnected office, which is a relief, but the office is still without full power and internet as of this morning. The building management and utility company is aware of the problem and are working to get power restored as quick as possible. As you can imagine, in a wide-scale disaster situation like this hurricane, there are lots of areas still without power and the utility is working as best they can to prioritize everyone.

We may not be able to ship orders today if power/internet is not restored within the next couple hours. Orders that are still pending/unshipped may be delayed until Monday. Orders that were previously marked as shipped should be picked up by the carrier today.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

One more update here – everything is back to normal as of yesterday (Friday, Oct 11) late afternoon. Power and internet has been restored in our office and carrier pickups have resumed.

Stay safe everyone!
