WiFi 7 Connectivity

Hello. I have 2 alarm panels in my home and just had AT&T upgrade my WiFi from WiFi 6 to WiFi 7. Now my panels will not connect to the network. I have attempted to factory reset the panels and add them again. I also renamed my 2.4ghz network and attempted to connect the panels directly to that network. Nothing seems to work. Am I just out of luck? Thanks in advance!

Konnected devices (like most low power IoT devices) use the 2.4GHz wifi band only. Any WiFi 6 or WiFi 7 router will still work on that band, unless you’ve disabled it for some reason. So that’s the first thing to check, make sure that the router has 2.4Ghz band enabled.

If the devices are not connected, they should be broadcasting their own WiFi setup network. Try connecting to them directly and load the captive portal at 192.168.4.1 and connect from there.

If you are still having trouble, please share more details about which firmware and version, and where exactly you are getting stuck. Like is it trying to connect but failing, or you’re not able to see the new network at all?
