Unable to perform flash on 6-Zone Alarm Panels (problem)

Good day all. I am attempting to flash my two Alarm boards to start over with my new Netgear CAX80 router. I have carefully followed each detail of the process as outlined on;
https://install.konnected.io/

Here is the error I get on my Windows 11 PC;

Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Make sure you install the correct driver and are using a data-quality USB cable, see: Flashing Konnected Firmware

Hi Nate, thanks for jumping in. I ordered a new cable that was specially for data transfer, not charging, that did allow me to connect. That was good, one step forward I was able to launch the website and initiate the flash process.

Below is a screenshot of what I see in the Konnected App. The device appears as “Alarm Panel” and does not have a port number. I cannot attach to this device in Hubitiat.

I feel that I am soo close! What am I missing? Thank you!

Hi @PeterB,

Our newer firmware platform (Made for ESPHome) works differently than the original legacy firmware. To add it to Hubitat, follow this article: Connecting the Alarm Panel to Hubitat

Thanks for that info. Using WIFI has been highly problematic for me. I am considering upgrading to the PRO version and dropping an ethernet cable between Hubitat and Konnected.

WiFi should work well. The devices use only a tiny bit of bandwidth. Must be something else going on.

Agreed; from what I can see, the WiFi overhead is minimal. I recently upgraded from a Netgear C7000v2 (modem) to a Netgear CAX80 (router). The Konnected continually had issues staying connected to the CAX80. To test the process, I reinstalled my C7000 and everything worked fine - 100% stable.

As you stated - something else going on. Some settings in the router bust be causing the problem.

I will be calling Netgear support tomorrow and will reply to this post with anything I find that may help others with similar and/or related issues.

@PeterB One of the best ways to debug is to capture some logs from the device. If you’re using our newer ESPHome firmware platform, you can even stream the logs wirelessly (see this post for tips)
