SmartThings zone status not being updated automatically anymore

Hi,

I have a 6 zone Konnected panel with firmware 3.0.0 and software 3.1.5 on the legacy firmware track.

Since about the 31st December, changes in zone state are not reaching SmartThings. I have verified that the sensors are changing state on the status page if I open/close a switch.

Strangely, if I ‘refresh’ a Konnected zone sensor in SmartThings, it will report the correct state, but it wont change back until I refresh it again (either via the new webui or by pulling down in sensor details in the app).

I have tried relinking my SmartThings account to Konnected cloud, re-registering and re-registering the Konnected Panel, and doing a full on reset (achieved by flashing the firmware again).

When I briefly connected via USB to view the logs, I can see connections being made to AWS which at a glance, seem successful.

Has anyone else had this problem?

After having a brief look around the forum, it looks like the legacy platform is going away soon - is this related?

I am having the same problem since yesterday, 1/5/26. I have restarted my Konnected panel twice via the app and once by power cycling the panel. It is still not communicating zone status to SmartThings. I checked and refreshed the Konnected linked service in SmartThings and all seems ok. Not sure what else to try.

Very odd - at least I’m not the only one having a problem!

I would imagine if the Konnected boards are connecting via websockets to amazon’s AWS IoT Core service, the problem lies somewhere in Konnected cloud.

My board is currently connected to the Europe (Ireland) AWS region.

Hey @Toby thanks for raising this. I checked into your account and I see that your access token with SmartThings had expired. Normally our cloud platform would automatically refresh the token, but it looks like something changed and for some reason it’s not able to clear and refresh yours.

I just deployed a code change that should improve the handling of this. Please try re-linking SmartThings again and let me know if that resolves it. You can do that from the ST app > Settings > Linked Services. You do NOT need to un-link first. Just tap on Konnected in the list and it should prompt you to sign in.

@davea6032 I will look into your account as well to see if it’s the same issue.

It’s working now, I didn’t even have to relink the service in ST. Thanks for the quick response

Thank you very much for looking into this for me Nate, it’s all working again now!

I did try to refresh initially, but it didn’t seem to work, so I ended up removing it from the ST side and re-adding it.
