Remote gets "locked out" Door Wont close

For several weeks now, I will open the garage door with the wall remote (Liftmaster, yellow button, blaq device), and then as I am driving away, my remote in my car wont work. Same will happen with the remote on my golf cart or sometimes the remote battery panel on the outside of the door.

When time goes by and I return home, the remote in the car works just fine to open the door, every time.

I know it’s the Blaq causing this problem because I have unplugged it now for a week and have not had a single incident of this issues occurring.

My Blaq is up to date on the firmware and is wired correctly as it has worked flawlessly for 1-2 years now.

I have rebooted it which seems to help for a few days, and then the problem starts to occur again.

What could be going on here and how do I fix it? Thanks.

Double-check that you’re not inadvertently activating the Lock feature of the garage opener. The blaQ can control this, but there’s also a physical button and usually an indicator light on the wall button console. This is exactly what the lock feature is intended to do – lock out all wireless remotes. It’s useful for security if you park cars on the street.

I’ve seen cases where some automations or routines were automatically picking this up as a “Lock” and locking it when you didn’t expect. It shows up as a door lock type device in most smart home apps.
