I have the garage door opener and used the Konnected app to build and install its initial firmware. I can see in the app under setting /network that the firmware has the correct network SSID and the password. The ip address doesn’t appear to have picked up an address from dhcp. It shows the device address as the default 192.168.4.1 . Looking at the info button under the Maul IP settings that I have the option to leave manual settings disabled (they are) to pick up an address from DHCP. Any suggestions as to how to get this configured correctly?
So 192.168.4.1 is the internal setup network IP, not the real IP address on your network. This may show up in the Konnected app if you were connected to the setup network when the device was discovered.
If you’ve set your WiFi credentials in the device settings (the Manual IP settings are optional and not recommended for most users) then it should have already connected to your home network. All we need to do is refresh the Konnected app to get it to find it on the network.
The simplest way is to exit and restart the Konnected app. It should re-scan for the devices upon reboot. Make sure your phone is connected to your home network (not the device’s setup network).
If that doesn’t work, check your router’s “clients” or “devices” page to find the actual IP address of the device, then you can manually add it by tapping the 3-dots menu in the app > Add ESPHome Device manually > put in the IP address and device model there and it should refresh it.
