GDO blaQ firmware update 1.5.0

:rocket: Firmware Update Released: GDO blaQ (GDOv2-Q) v1.5.0

We’re excited to announce the release of firmware v1.5.0 for the GDO blaQ (GDOv2-Q)! :tada:

This update brings some nice fixes and improvements that many of you have been waiting for.

  • Obstruction Detection Fix
A key issue affecting the obstruction sensor not reporting properly has been resolved. Your GDO blaQ will now correctly recognize and respond to obstructions to the IR safety beam within a few seconds.

  • Improved Partial Open (Percentage Control)
The feature that allows you to open the garage door to a specific percentage has been enhanced. It now works more reliably in both directions, making partial door openings smoother and more consistent regardless if the door is initially open or closed.

:inbox_tray: How to Update

You can get the latest firmware by updating via the Konnected app, or if you’re managing your own firmware config through ESPHome Builder, you can update automatically from ESPHome Builder. Source code and binaries are available on Konnected ESPHome GitHub release page.

:raising_hands: Thank You

A huge thank you to our community for reporting issues and helping us improve the GDO blaQ experience. Keep the feedback coming—we’re listening and making updates regularly.

Konnected app just blinks dots after selecting upgrade. Same for all 3 Blaqs we have.

Not sure what you mean “blinks dots”. Please send screenshot.

Basically after selecting upgrade the app (iOS) goes to a blank white screen with 3 dots on top. Looks like it wants to load something but never moves forward.

Go to My Devices, tap on the GDO blaQ device, then tap Settings. Make sure you’ve registered the device for our firmware customization service.

they where definitely registered, I’ve had these for a few months.
I don’t know why, but going back to settings moved things forward on two of them.
The 3rd left me with a new problem. One of them changed from a static IP to dynamic, but in Konnected App it still has the static address.
I tried adding the device (with the dynamic address) but it won’t add it.
How can I change the address?

Try exiting the app and relaunching it, then go back to My Devices. That should force it to refresh the IPs via discovery.
