Can you please tell us what type of wall button you have connected to this opener? Also what is the firmware version (Konnected project version) on the Konnected device?
Yes, the purple-button openers do respond to a dry-contact trigger. The purple button indicates Security+1.0 protocol which also responds to a dry contact trigger.
Thanks for getting back. Control panel is 398LMC with lift master M3585CS 3/4 HP Garge opener.
Working with HA through ESPHome2025.3.2 and project version is 1.4.0.1
In addition to sporadic opening (infrequent) the HA logs show continuous updates for the following:
lights on/off,
Locked/unlocked
as well as obstruction detected/cleared.
These logs show up almost every 5 minutes.

Garage opens/closes on switch command in HA but seems to have issues with Apple HomeKit Bridge integration. Open works (?) but close seems to have issues
Unfortunately it’s the 398LMC that’s the problem. Unfortunately, this is the one (very old) wall button that just doesn’t work reliably with the GDO blaQ. There’s a post about it here and I’m working on re-organizing our knowledge base so this is easier to find.
I recommend replacing the wall button with the 889LM wall panel and then set the protocol setting on the GDO blaQ to Security+1.0 with smart panel
Figured as much. Really love your alarm products that work flawlessly. Guess I should have researched my garage model more before buying GDO Blq. I’m not quite ready to invest another couple of hundred on top of what I paid. Will look at disconnect until I am ready to upgrade the whole system.
@scott_Sedman a cheaper option is to replace the 398LM with a dumb wall button like this basic one or a 78LM generic. Both will work with a purple-button Security+1.0 opener to toggle open and closed, however the light and lock secondary buttons will not work when on the same circuit as the GDO blaQ.
