Garage door not opening or closing

Konnected Garage Door Opener

I have a GDO White, my garage door does not open or close, it takes many try and eventually it close or open. I move the GDO little bit more away and move it closer and still getting same stuff, I ran the calibration as well
I have OverHead garage.
I notice if I move the calibracion setting up or down and try to open the door it works most of the time…not sure if that trigger something?
also notice the Sensor Distance is “NA”

Hi @KrOsS,

First, to clarify, the sensor distance of “NA” is completely normal when the garage door is closed and there is nothing in front of the GDO White’s sensor. The sensor can only see about 2m, so typically if the garage is empty and the GDO White is mounted on the ceiling, it will read “NA” whenever the garage is closed, and the state should read as closed.

When the garage is open you should see a reading within a few centimeters of the calibrated value, and the state should read as open.

The first thing is to check and make sure that the state is reporting correctly. If the state is incorrect, the open/close commands may not respond properly.

Also double-check that the wires are inserted correctly and secure.

Please send logs of the open/close actions if it’s still not working correctly.

hello @nate I check cables, even switch them to see if that makes any difference, sensor seems to be working as it can tell when door is Open or Close (not problem there), the calibration seems to work as well…everything seems to be working but it just works randomly or when it wants to or when I change something on portal.. if I put both cables together door close (as you show on video) so I know cable are secure from motor,
the question is why does it work randomly. maybe i’m the lucky one and got defective device? here are some logs while door is close

Hmm, it looks like the open/close detection is working fine.

Since you said that when you touch the wires together it works, try increasing close trigger duration. By default this is 300ms. Try increasing it to 500ms or 1s. This is the time that the wires are “touched” together by the internal mechanism when commanded to open or close. It may be that your garage opener needs a longer closure to respond reliably.

You can find this setting in the Konnected app > Settings > Garage Open/Close detection > Advanced > Trigger closure duration.

After changing the setting to 500ms that fix it! it opens every time! thank you!!! now I can close garage from work when wife leave the door open!
