Caddx NX - 8 , Interlogix, GE Interface with Pro Panel - Requesting help from Konnected folks

First of all this is my setup information:

  • Main board I am interfacing with
    GE - Caddx - NX8V2
  • 2 Keypads control the system
    Interlogix NX-148E-RF (with 2 line LCD panel), NX-1308 E (no LCD)

I got 12 zone pro panel interface kit. Started carefully. Now have 8 zone (pls note all zones on old panel NX8V2 are used, no free zone) connected to 2 interface board and then thru ribbons to Pro panel. Connected to Ethernet first, faced some issue so on Wifi now (reflashed to Ethernet, all good).
All 8 zones are now added to Smarthings and I can see in Smarthings app that they show correct status (door opening closing and motion). So far so good. But it came after 2 evenings of firmware updates (i guess I have done it 10 times or so) and changing few things.

Where I need help:

  1. I had 3 wireless zones in my NX-148E-RF which I think cannot be programmed into Konnected and will always be in NX-148E-RF. If they get triggered then Konnected panel will know but will not know what triggered NX8V2. Pls confirm. Requesting Konnected team or users for help.
  2. Now, I need to do this
  • Figure out where to connect wires on NX8V2 panel to know if it is armed or disarmed and if its triggered or not [this is explained for other brand panel at https://youtu.be/-zOMsLEMQgg?t=982 in one of Konnected videos but I need help on this with panel NX8V2 . Other end of wire(s) will connect to empty wired zone of one of the 2 interface boards I am using.
  • Add Keyswitch functionality thru relay on one of the alarm panel interfaces to arm/disarm remotely. For this I am assuming that I need to use one of the zones from NX8V2(and because I dont have any vacant zone on panel I will need to move one of the wired zones purely to Konnected Pro Panel). To do this, I will need to do programming in NX-148E-RF to remove the zone because wires from the zone which is disconnected will not be connected to traditional NX-148E-RF. Pls confirm? I think there needs to ve resistor in parallel on NX8V2 for Keyswitch to work. Any pic or help here is also appreciated.

Once I am able to set my system, I can share complete process with video,pics,documentaiton on how to use interface kit with Caddx-GE-Networx system and how to make it work with Smarthings. I can fit it in 2 page documet and few pictures. Its litle tricky and there are some nuances due to lack of exact documentation (Tricky for customers because we dont work on security systems daily)

After many days of trial and error, reading documentation for Interlogix programming, NX-8V2 circuit board (components on board) I was able to fully set up Konnected Alarm Panel Pro 12-Zone Interface Kit alongwith existing NX-8V2 system. I will pusblish details in few days but I can say this

  • Konnected documentation is correct but incomplete
  • I tried to use support AI and human support. It was very difficult (I was unable to) to talk to anybody at Konnected. I was able to do email exchanges but some critical answers I got were wrong or incomplete. It was like me explaining everything in very detailed way and I got one liner incomplete responses. I am sorry if my expectation was high.
  • A very normal DIY person would have returned the panel but i wanted to make it work and took it as challenge and completed it (except connecting Siren which I think will work as its easy)
  • As I said earlier my experience directly relates to documentation and support. Product itself is great.
  • Documentation is pretty generic and misses out
  • Result is that after all is setup I see myself on build version 25 something. This is how many times I updated firmware.
