I’ve just completed phase one of a Konnected Alarm Panel Pro conversion, utilising existing wired sensors and sirens. The system is integrated into Home Assistant and bridged to HomeKit. This setup allows me to arm, disarm, and receive trigger notifications directly from the Home app on my iPhone.
Now, I’m looking to maximise the system’s utility through automation. My goal is to keep the system armed as often as possible, specifically by implementing Auto-Arm Away, Auto-Disarm on Return, and Night Mode.
My existing setup relies entirely on wired motion sensors (no door/window contacts). I’m concerned about Night Mode triggering false alarms. I’d love to hear your experiences—what works and what doesn’t? Are presence sensors the best way to solve the “motion-only” dilemma, or is there better logic for me to follow?
