Konnected Pro interface kit is working well with my ancient Apex Destiny 6100. This thread also mentions the Apex:
but I couldn’t find much else on this old board, so I thought I’d post these notes. Everything needed to program was actually in the Installers guide - PDF online via googling “apex destiny 6100 installation instructions”
Here is an outline:
-
reset installer code to 9173 (use program switch button, page 15)
-
program a keyswitch (using zone 16)
follow zone auto programming instructions (page 16)
for zone type 014 “step arming” -
also program zone 16 as NO EOLR (page 26)
use NO EOLR since we’ll trigger via Konnect relay with no resistor
address 2497 value=128 -
program armed/disarmed status and alarm status (page 71,75)
location 0183 value = 001 (alarm activated - call “control channel 1”)
location 0195 value = 002 (arm to home, night or away - call “control channel 2”)location 4097 value = 001 (enable control channel 1)
location 4116 value = 001 control channel 1 sets aux output pin 1location 4121 value = 001 (enable control channel 2)
location 4143 value = 002 control channel 2 sets aux output pin 2
not sure if this is necessary, but I did it anyway: (page 61)
program 9920 (auto program channel names)
enter zone, then and names from vocabulary table
control channel 1: “alarm check”
control channel 2: “armed check”
Then follow the normal Konnected wireing:
aux pin 1 on Apex board → zone 1 on konnect interface board
aux pin 2 on Apex board → zone 2 on konnect interface board
zone 16 on Apex board → relay on konnect interface board
out1 on konnect pro → relay input on konnect interface board
Then in the Konnected app:
In the alarm system interface:
Triggered state: set to zone 1, check “inverted”
Alarm State: set to zone 2, check “inverted”
Keyswitch: This doesn’t work - set to Alarm1 to free up out1 for momentary switch
In the Zone settings:
set out1 to be a momentary switch (this will be the keyswitch)
Pressing the keyswitch button changes then toggles the state
between disarm, arm away and arm home. “arm home” requires
2nd button press within 60s of the arm away button press.
