I am one of the original Konnected users. I have 4 small panels (before the combined ones were available). The just run. It is connected to SmartThings and also for the wall panels I have fire tablets running fully kiosk connected to action tiles. We like the action tiles look. But honestly we were not able to really connect this to a proper alarm. We are constantly restarting fully kiosk (yes we tried the action tiles app too) but really the icons light up for motion and doors etc… the alarm part isn’t stable.
We do not have any paid monitoring service.
I also don’t really like the fact that action tiles is on the web and not local. I prefer a closed loop system if possible.

My ask here is what is the best possible setup, cost isn’t a factor. We could get new boards, ditch smartthings etc… but just want a clean looking dark themed panel on the wall that people that are non technical can run. We have 4 cameras around the house also, we use alexa and have some plugs lights and other devices we control with our voice and alexa which is simple and works.
I don’t want to have to tinker with stuff, no time for that. I am willing to put in the time to get it right but after that, it should be solid and not touched.
I am very technical, I can code, I can build circuit boards, I know cyber security extremely well. we also have two Ring doorbells, use MyQ for liftmaster garage doors… we also have two PIA to install electric shades.
What is the best rig that is stable and has a very similar UI to action tiles dark theme? I would like to have more control, actually lock home manage guests or people watching house from time to time and continue to use alexa as a voice controller.
Can I also say, it is so good to see how Konnected has grown!
