Reinstalled factory code from https://install.konnected.io/ web page using usb. I didn’t see anything on “adopting” but did find “take control”. Did so, and here is my current YAML file. Tested and warning light does flash, but there is no warning tone, whatsoever. The web interface indicates nothing in the box to the left of the Pre-close warning. It used to list “ominous”. When the button is pressed, the warning light flashes, but no sound whatsover (same as before).

Did it originally make a sound before we started modifying stuff?
I don’t know if it ever made a sound. I will remove everything I added and try again. Here is a log excerpt from when I press the button for pre-close warning. I was at the garage door when I did this, and no sound, irrespective of the log data.

Removed all added code… still no sound. When looking at the logs, the following makes me wonder:
‘warning_led’: brightness not supported”
I suppose it’s possible that there’s a hardware issue with the sounder in that device. Odd and extremely rare … but possible.
The warning about the LED brightness control is not relevant.
Is there any way to test it? If not, what can I do? Return it to Amazon?
