hi, I just received my alarm panel pro and I’m planning to set it up with ESP Home. I’ve got that running on HomeAssistant already and trust this will go smooth. Sorting the undocumented cables from my 25yr (?) old Honeywell alarm will be the biggest job I expect.

Q: For daily use, can we operate the alarm panel with both my HA and with SmartThings app at the same time?

I was thinking about the backup power; The Konnected backup-battery doesn’t ship, but I can easily find a 12v Li-ION Powerbank for the alarm panel + internet router. But once armed, how do I turn off the alarm if my HA is not available? HA one runs on my Synology and requires a proper UPS to keep it running… If I still have internet, could I disarm using a mobile phone- SmartThings app?

Do I understand correctly that I could potentially even use a Lead-acid battery on the AUX?

Yes. For this to work most effectively, set up the Standalone Alarm Panel feature in the Konnected app and then the armed/disarmed states will sync to both platforms.

Yes, you can disarm with SmartThings if the panel still has internet.

We will be adding soon some features that allow for physical switches, keyswitches, or keypads to arm/disarm.

No, because it needs some kind of circuit to keep it charged and automatically switch over to provide backup power when necessary.
