I am attempting to setup a Konnected Alarm Panel and a 6 zone add-on board. The two boards are right next to each other. The add-on board is rock solid. It doesn’t drop its connection. The main board is extremely flaky, frequently dropping the wireless link. Is this common? Is my board defective? Don’t these units have the same WiFi chip and antenna?
Yes, they have the same WiFi chip and firmware and should work identically.
Most often what is perceived as flaky WiFi is actually the device rebooting in a reboot loop due to a configuration or communication problem with the smart home hub or server. The best way to diagnose is to plug it in via USB, go to install.konnected.io and select the “Logs & Console” option to view the console output from the device.
