I am setting up the konnected as a standalone with esphome in home assistant but cannot toggle the “warning” beep on. I have the piezo buzzer set up and that does work. Can anyone assist with the warning beeps for the delay upon entering when alarm is armed? The delay is working but it’s silent. The link below shows a picture of the konnected set up with esphome and a toggle for warning. Mine is greyed out and not working.
Hope to find an answer or write up for this as well.
- I set up the Alarm Panel Pro board as a stand alone alarm - works very well - wish I had it turned on a few weeks ago

- Configured Out1 as a “multi output” with different on/off patterns as suggested in the app (“door chime” and “warning beep”). See below
- Checked the “door chime” boxes for the door-type zones - works fine
But I cannot find where to configure so it turns on the “warning beep” pattern during the exit and entry delays, I.e. when the alarm is in the arming or pending state.
Hi, did you get a follow-up from your questions? I have looked and couldn’t find any relevant to this one.
Do you have a link to shate?
Thank you very much
Jean
I just gave up and use the alarm occasionally instead of a daily basis like i did with the old school alarm with keypad. I’m sure I’ll regret it one day. I have a tablet on the wall but it’s kind of useless without the warning. I thought it would be more user friendly. Sorry…
Just to summarize, Nate mentioned in Jan 2025 that this “feature” (allowing the app to configure the warning buzzer) would hopefully soon be put into the Konnected app.
So far that hasn’t happened because the latest version of the app (1.6.5) was released on Jan 29, 2025 and it’s not in that release.
A workaround is to install Home Assistant’s Alarmo plug-in as your keypad and configure an Alarmo automation to turn the buzzer on/off. This works well!
On the other hand, it kind of defeats the whole purpose of having a Konnected standalone alarm system when you have created a dependency on Home Assistant for the keypad and to turn the buzzer on/off.
Nate, I know your team is working on a lot of stuff, but 7+ months for such a little feature seems to me to be a failure.
You’re right, there are a lot of little things queued up for the next app release. We should’ve prioritized it better.
