So I cannot connect my GDO to HomeKit?

I filled out the form and said HomeKit. It suggested GDO. Fine. I have the unit, I have installed the firmware. But it appears that it will not integrate directly to HomeKit, yeah? I don’t want a Pi, or some other hub I have to fiddle with. I just want a better, more reliable opener that takes two simple Siri commands. Something other than the Meross. I guess this is not it after all.

Actually I was just working on this!

We have adapted a Homekit specific firmware, adapted from RATGDO (actually originally authored by the same developer who maintains the RATGDO Homekit firmware)

Here’s the GitHub repo:

Still under development and not thoroughly tested yet, but it should work. To use this, you will have to re-flash the device. Download the linked ZIP file, expand it to get the flashable bin file, and flash this to address 0x0 on your GDO blaQ. You can use esptool command line or via web at ESP Tool

Eventually we will add this to our web-based installer at https://install.konnected.io.

Here’s the latest firmware build (ZIP download):

@Ryan_P can you comment on the viability of this currently?

I just tried flashing the combined Homekit firmware, and I’m not sure if it’s running correctly. I don’t have a Homekit device locally right now to test with, but just looking at the console log, I’m not convinced that it’s running.

Mines the white version so I assume this won’t work at all. Yeah?

Use the Matter firmware, which you can install from here:
