Hi all
Currently considering upgrading / replacing my Texecom veritas alarm system but I have a few questions if that’s ok ?
1 ) I would like a tablet to replace my current keypad . What is the disarming procedure? I assume a pin is entered to unlock the tablet or app before it can be disarmed ? If the display is always on ( I guess ) how is the tablet set up to require a PIN code ?
2) is there still a global tamper on the panel box and devices ?
3) can a strobe be used as well as a siren and is connecting an existing sab box simple enough ?
4) in alarm state what notifications can / are sent ?

Hi, I would like to try to answer these as a new customer with many of the same questions.
[1] Yes you can use a tablet for a “keypad”, I needed to let the traditional idea of a keypad go and move on to something more advanced such as a tablet mounted at the front door. Works great.
[2] Not sure about “global tamper” If the alarm is triggered — you will be alerted.
[3] Yes.
[4] SMS/email are sent with SmartThings.
