There is really not a clear cut answer to this post. Here is my problem:
Looking for some help with buzzers. I have a 2 story house with panels upstairs and down. When I hook up buzzers behind both panels the buzzer sound seems to fade to the point of not achieving desired effect. Does the multiple buzzers drop voltage too much for sound or do I need some louder buzzers? Right now I have 2 small buzzers similar to V2 kit buzzer wired in parallel using the Add-On board output pins alongside 5V output. Would splitting a buzzer to another output help? I have the last output terminal on the Add-On board and Zone 1 on the Main Board open for use. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Came here after struggling to get any sound out of the buzzer on a new Alarm Panel Pro. I did get it working in the end after following some of the advice above:
- Make sure the polarity is correct (positive to the “out”, negative to the ground)
- Connected to “OUT1” on the alarm panel pro and and the adjacent ground pin
- Remove the sticker on the buzzer lol. I hadn’t removed it and it was super quiet until I did.
- Set up the buzzer from the Konnected app, it’s listed under the “OUT” setting at the bottom below all the zones. Once I did that and updated the firmware, it appeared as expected in Home Assistant!
Thanks to all who got me there in the end ![]()
