How to Install FW using ESPhome in Home Assistant?

I dont see any real info on how to do this… I found a post from @nate but while my two Blaqs are in ESPhome and work fine there, there is nothing in the settings/config that allows for updating the FW.

Home Assistant users (or advanced users) can also self-manage firmware configuration and update via ESPHome’s dashboard tools. Follow the steps here to install ESPHome dashboard in Home Assistant. After that, the GDO blaQ should show up in your ESPHome dashboard and allow you to customize and update the firmware via the ESPHome configuration interface.

The Android Konnected App only sees the Blaq devices 5% of the time, most of the time they have a yellow triangle (this has always been a problem, the app is horrible)… even though I can connect 100% of the time to the IPs directly with my phone, PC, etc, etc. Everything is on a single LAN, no vlans, etc.

Why cant we just get a single button ‘update firmware’ on the web ui!?

Oh, and when the app does connect to the GDOs (usually after clearing the cache on the app, killing it and restarting)… it doesnt show there is a FW upgrade. I’m on 1.5.6.2 and it looks like there 1.6 released (tiny mention here) but cant find an actual changelog or version system showing project # (rest of the world call these build # or FW version)… GitHub - konnected-io/konnected-esphome: ESPHome firmware configuration and recipes for Konnected devices · GitHub

why is something this simple made to be so hard by Konnected?
