When we built our house we had the doors wired for an alarm system. I believe there’s one for a motion sensor and keypad also. However, we ended up just going with a wireless ring system and never connected the wires and didn’t even have the wires connected to sensors. I’m looking to ditch my Ring system in favor of a mostly local system (the AWS outage taking down my cameras has left me not wanting to rely on cloud services for my home security). I’ve already got the Konnected garage door controllers and have had a decent experience with them. Wondering if Konnected Alarm would work in my situation seeing as how I never had a wired alarm set up? I know where all of the alarm wires terminate in the basement. I’d have to install the door sensors but it shouldn’t be too bad since I can see the wires in each door frame. Will there be anything else I’d have to do to get this to work?
