GDO White v1-S - Two of Three Failing - Fix 'em or trash them?

I have three of the very early GDO Whites from when they first went on sale in 2023.

Each reports GDOv1-S in the Hubitat device listing.

Number 1 has become stuck on flashing blue. #2 seems to work. #3 is stupid and can no longer distinguish open or closed and reports/shows nonsense status in my Hubitat dashboard, It is a lying POS.

Here are the numbers from the Konnected App:

#1 V1.2.5.2 Cal: 0.40M Dist: 0.00 Signal: 78% stuck on Blue flashing, Lying POS on status

Q: How can a TOF sensor measure 0.00 distance?

→ Later - delete device, add device. Blue blink gone. Now wrong door icon in dashboard.

–>Found two GDOv1-S device drivers, unable to delete old one, all 3 now use same one

–> Now like Door #3, Lying POS shows WRONG status in dashboard and device list.

#2 V1.2.5.3 Cal: 0.46m Dist: NA Signal: 54% works for some reason

#3 V1.2.5.4 Cal: 0.44m Dist: 0.04 Signal: 42% lying POS on status, no other problem indication

I don’t know if the ESP updates messed these up (unlikely) or if the newer Hubitat software is part of the problem (but #2 is fine). Hubitat device status shows last activity on each within seconds of each other, yet GDO #1 is shown as having a WiFi issue even though the Konnected App works with it just fine and it seems to report to the Hubitat.

I know many of you are Home Assistant fan boys. I used it for over year with my Hubitat and the MakerAPI integration. Trashed HA a few months ago as too much trouble to maintain the container version. Had some nice features though.

These things worked great for two years or so with my Hubitat C-8. Now one by one they seem to go bad or crazy. While the Hubitat just gets better and better with software updates.

In any case having a GDO working poorly is worse than having none at all.

Before I rip #1 and #3 out, can they be redeemed?

I hate these things.

Yet, my Konnected Pro alarm panel board has been working fine since 2019.

I had a white fail but I think my opener probably should have had a black. I am color blind so don’t know for sure. The square button is not any color listed for either based my eyes! I replaced with a black and so far so good. My failure was bad, it randomly opened the door and froze my keypad. Only my wireless remotes could be used to close it again.

Your color blindness is way different from what I thought it was, wow.

I moved all 3 GDO White’s to driver GDOv2-S with no effective change other than loosing reliable connection to #3 while it now reports a better signal of 50% on the web page.

After a hours stuck on “closing” my GDO White #1 will decide it is closed.

It still reports a distance of 0.00m which I would think means the TOF sensor is failed. But no one else looked at this and suggested such. Without reliable reporting of status, it remains a lying POS.

I might consider replacing it, but not on speculation.
