My house is wired with 2-wire smoke detectors. I've resigned myself to buying a separate fire alarm panel for these devices. Mainly because I want to upgrade the detectors with built in sounders, but also because there is no konnected support for this type of install. (system sensor reverse polarity on alarm.)
So my question is, with a fire alarm panel that that sends 2A @ 30VDC to the siren when an alarm occurs, is there anyway to step that down and connect it to one of the zones on the new konnected pro board. I'm hoping that would give me a nice alert on my phone in addition to sounding the siren in my home. Thanks.
