I’ve just installed a GDO Blaq with my Chamberlain RJO101MC. I’m using it via Home Assistant mainly. The obstruction sensors only seem to trigger if the door is actually operated while there’s an obstruction. For instance, with the door open, walking through the beam, or standing in it for long periods of time, produces no result on the GDO Blaq side. If I attempt to close the door with something in the beam, then the obstruction sensor turns on as the door refuses to close. If I remove the obstruction and close the door, the door closes successfully but the obstruction sensor remains on until some seemingly random time later when it turns off. Is this expected behavior? I was expecting sensor status in real time, not dependent on whether the door is activated at the same time. A few seconds delay would be fine, but that’s not what I’m seeing.
It should be close to real-time. We made some improvements recently to the obstruction / IR beam sensor detection in firmware project version 1.5.3. Are you updated to the latest?
I’m on Project Version 1.5.4.1
Hmm, interesting. I do have a RJO101 so I’ll try to reproduce the issue. What we’ve found is that there is some variance between the models. This might be one of those cases.
