ADT/Honeywell speaker to announce door open/close?

I have an old ADT/Honeywell system and I am considering replacing it with Konnected. We don’t currently pay ADT for service. One feature that we really like is that the ADT system announces when a door or window opens and I would like to retain that functionality. The speakers seem to be in the ADT control panels on the main floor and on the second floor of the house.

Maybe I have not done deep enough research, but I haven’t found anything that goes beyond a simple siren with Konnected. I have a rich Home Assistant installation so I could do some text-to-speech or something like that, but am I able to re-use the ADT speakers via Konnected or is it limited to a siren?

Since I’d be removing the ADT system, I’d be willing to remove the control panels and replace them with speakers or something like that.

Can anyone provide any advice for me on how to retain the “kitchen door opened” announcement that I currently have when transitioning to Konnected?

A lot of people will use Alexa or Google speakers (or Home Assistant Voice) to do this. The advantage here is that you can customize when and what the voice announcement is and what speakers it’s coming from – a lot more flexible than the built in ADT keypad.
