Hi, I know this isn’t your software (action tiles) but I’m using it with fully kiosk to run my home, including my alarm. I was out of town for a number of days and fully kiosk is saying it can’t find action tiles (or something to that extent). I’m running this on the amazon fire 8. Do you guys have any insight into Action Tiles coming back or some alternative to start working on replacing my tablets?

I have transitioned to SharpTools in the last few days (after also losing ActionTiles). The setup was quite simple and so far I’m quite impressed.
I’ve used sharp tools as well. Depending on what you have, it might be sufficient.
Agreed. But be aware that if your initial setup when trying it out uses features that are beyond the “basic” licensing, when the free trial license expires, you may have to uplift (aka $$) to the premium license to retain functionality.

Guess that’s the answer to do it all over again in sharp tools. Too bad they didn’t give any warning they shut down so I could have at least took a picture of my various config - and I recently paid for three different locations.
Regarding SharpTools: They’re a small company (like Action tiles is/was). How confident do you think we should be about the real security of our data including system access, passwords, etc?
Good point! I have to say, I’m not too knowledgeable about this stuff. Just an old guy that believes people are honest and stand behind what they do.
I sure wish. When I see banks & McDonald’s & insurance companies breach, it make me wonder how a little player could withstand an attack.
No wonder my fires went offline, I hadn’t heard the news. It’s always nice when the UI goes out randomly. Glad I saw this, what have folks switched to? I saw some ideas in the comments, but I’m invested in Samsung smarthome.
As some here have mentioned, sharp tools is an alternative to action tiles. I’ve got three pads up and running on two different locations. I’m using Samsung ST with smart tools and fully kiosk on an Amazon fire 8hd. Really wasn’t that hard to replace action tiles with smart tools but it was a completely unexpected need. BTW, I had to pay smart tools as I have more than one tablet running.
