Intermittent Siren Chirp After ESPHome Firmware Update

Hello,

I have an older alarm board that I purchased in 2019, which has worked reliably until recently. I updated the firmware to ESPHome version 1.1.3.x (2025.12.0) so it would be compatible with Home Assistant, and since then I’ve noticed an intermittent issue.

Occasionally, the siren output chirps briefly at random times. This seems to happen most often a few times in the morning, almost daily. The board does not appear to be rebooting when this occurs, and I’m not sure whether this behavior is related to the software or firmware.

I do not have any automations configured that would activate the siren—only a manual button in Home Assistant.

I’m having trouble troubleshooting this issue and would appreciate some guidance. How can I retrieve logs from the device to help diagnose the problem? Also, is it possible this could be a hardware-related issue?

Thank you for your help.

Hmm, that’s odd. Which IO is the siren on?
Can you share more about how it’s configured and wired?
