There’s some savings when buying a new Fire tablet if you are ok with ads on the lock page. If I’m going to use the tablet in a homeassisstant setup does the lock screen even get used? Or do I need to pay extra to get the one without ads?
For anyone who has the same question down the road… I ended up paying the extra to not have ads on the Fire lock screen but then when I set up Fully Kiosk I paid for the “plus” and that allowed me to set up the screensaver to o% black (so the tablet would go dark) and use the camera to wake up the tablet when I walk up to it - so it never hits the lock screen.
So if you get a Fire tablet you can get the ad supported one and use the savings on Fully kiosk Plus.
