Misleading information in the docs relating to power input/output

My existing alarm has a 15VDC power supply that I was thinking of reusing, which should be fine based on the 6-24VDC input, however it looks like this is going to cause problems with the AUX output. The technical specs page says:

Input Power Acceptable Range: 6V - 24V DC
AUX Power output: Pass-thru from input power source
Device may be powered via barrel jack OR AUX power terminals (they are electrically connected)

However the inputs and outputs docs say:

AUX-: Un-switched 12V ground for AUX powered devices.
12V+: Un-switched 12V for AUX powered devices.

Based on the technical specs it seems like “12V+” is actually whatever the input voltage is, and “AUX-” is GND.

Is that correct? This means that to run a 12V alarm from ALRM1/ALRM2 you’d need to provide 12VDC input, not 6-24VDC.
