I want to give a very big Thank you to David Parsons! I wouldn’t have been able to do the project without that pdf document and your advice!!! From the bottom of my heart thank you so very much!!! Guide on the Konnected website did not work for me. Thank you Dave!!!
I’m able to successfully follow these instructions to have the key switch on Zone 1. However, my Zone 1 is in a constant Fault 1 state which I can’t seem to fix.
A few things I’ve tried:
-
I’ve programmed Zone 1 to be disabled and then reprogrammed as a Soft Switch but the Faulting persisters.
-
I’ve even power cycled and the Faulting persists.
-
I’ve even tried removing the relay and leaving just the 2k ohm resistor connecting 8 to 9. A power cycles makes it come up as a fault (with KeySwitch programmed).
What magic was this disable / enable?
I got out my multimeter and noticed it was an error on my end coupled with a faulty resistor. I swapped out the resistor and changed the relay to switch it to Normally Open. My zone 1 is not in a faulted state anymore!
This thread really helped me out. Making the resistor in parallel with the relay stopped my panel from displaying an error. Then I was able to use a wire to short terminals 8 and 9 to confirm that if the relay was working, the system would arm and disarm. The final piece for me was making sure the switch on my Pro board was switched to OUT2 instead of ALARM. The wiring diagram shows it using OUT2 but never mentions that the switch is set to ALARM by default (at least for me). Hopefully anyone else having this problem with trying to run the keyswitch on Zone 1 will find this!
