Arm with Interior Bypass

Can keyswitches allow for arming of a system while bypassing internal motion sensing zones, such as when the user wants to stay in the building and arm the contact sensors? Or are keyswitches typically all or nothing? I realize this will ultimately be board dependent, but I'm trying to get a sense of the industry standard.
